DeSales Resource Center houses a specialized,
Catalogued library of Salesian materials:
books and periodicals in several languages,
a "vertical file" of articles
and other shorter pieces, and some audio
and video tapes. Additional uncatalogued
visuals (videos, slides, portraits, etc.)
and some computerized resources are also
available. Over 1500 distinct resources!
We
have placed a listing of our library holdings
on the web page at DeSales University in
Allentown, PA. You can view that listing
on www.desales.edu
Search Page.
You will find there the listing of all books
held in the DeSales Resources & Ministries
library. Double click a book and additional
information will appear, including a form
that can be sent to us in order to borrow
a book.
Anyone
working on an article, dissertation or simply
taking time for personal enrichment is welcome
to spend a day, a week or more at the Center
using our library. Reasonably priced accommodations
can be arranged at a conference center on
the same campus. Self-directed researchers
are always welcome, and, with advance notice,
consultation may be able to be arranged.
The
Center and its library exist to serve as
a resource for scholars, friends and anyone
interested in Francis de Sales, Jane de
Chantal and their tradition. Contact us
by phone, fax or E-mail with any questions
you may have.
