Welcome to the web page for DeSales Resources and Ministries, a ministry of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, Toledo-Detroit Province.

We are located on the Niagara River about ten miles north of Niagara Falls, NY, on the campus of Stella Niagara Education Park.

The focus of our ministry is the spirituality and 21st century legacy of two exceptional seventeenth century saints:

St. Francis de Sales (1567-1622)
Charismatic Bishop of Geneva, gifted spiritual director, reformer, evangelist and catechist.

St. Jane de Chantal (1572-1641)
Wife, mother, widow, administrator and with Francis de Sales, her friend and spiritual director, founder of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary.

Together, these two saints are the source of a unique spiritual tradition called “Salesian Spirituality” which is intended for all believers, no matter their position in life. Especially appropriate for those living very busy lives, Salesian spirituality challenges a person to be who they are and to be that well - not as angels but as good men and women. It is a spirituality for those who share their lives with family, friends and working associates, those who choose to embrace the depths of the human heart, and those who choose to Live Jesus in this world.

• a speakers’ bureau - providing parish missions, retreats and presentations by members of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and their colleagues

• an organizer of an Annual National Conference - in its 24th year and now
titled: The Joseph F. Power, OSFS Conference on the Spirituality of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal. (Fr. Power is the deceased founder of our ministry)

• a sponsor of an international Scholars’ Seminar -facilitating in depth study and wide spread dissemination of Salesian Spirituality

Our Director is Oblate of Saint Francis de Sales, Father John L. Graden. Among the gifts that John brings to our ministry is an expanded focus on the evangelization and catechesis of the ministry of Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal.

Joanne Kinney is the Administrator for DeSales Resources and Ministries and Darlene Dixon is the Business Manager.
